Today as I ponder the assignments that are due this semester, I am amazed at the incredible mountain that is mine to climb. But like all the semesters of my life (37 years worth) God has always been faithful to see me through. Not all of them have been passed with flying colors, I have had failing grades and repeats in my life, but all of them have given me knowledge and some have even given wisdom. I’m looking forward to a new test, a new level of difficulty, and to see the hand of God once again lift me to where I have never been before. Each day I find myself determined to depend on Him, for by Him, and through Him I can do all things.
“All the time!…God is good!”

Yes, God is good all the time. What a wonderful thought for focus as you begin another semester.
Thanks for commenting on my blog, Preacher. I know what you’re talking about…passing sometimes in life and failing sometimes in life. Talking from personal experience, it’s easy to want to lay down and die in difficult semesters of life. As bad as you want to just quit, God’s grace won’t let you. I took note of a powerful E.M. Bounds quote in the text for Acts: “The church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men.”
As you have written this you speak of mountains. I have always loved the mountains!! Yes, at times they are difficult to climb, but as you reach the summit you are able to catch your breath and take in the spectacular views from there and know you are there only because you kept on going, pushing to the top and not giving up. There are many mentions in the Bible also of mountain top experiences. I know that you will do well this semester as you totally depend on God and never give up. You amaze me everyday by all you do and accomplish with our family, church and school. I love you with all my heart and am so thankful you are my “Best Friend” Thank you for being obedient and allowing God to direct you and our family. God truly is good, ALL the time!

David, I hope I have not made your mountains to difficult to climb. If so I know you have found the grace of God sufficient. It has been a joy to have you in my classes. Dr. White
